If the taste of a normal bottle of wine just isn’t doing it for you… how about a wine that tastes just like pizza?
Pizza Hut has announced their latest innovation: Tomato Pizza Wine. Yes, you read that right—Pizza Wine!
In a surprising yet brilliant collaboration, Pizza Hut has teamed up with Irvine’s Winery, in Kansas, to create a wine that tastes just like pizza. But here’s the twist: it’s made from tomatoes instead of grapes. As someone who loves both pizza and wine, I can’t help but be intrigued by this unique concoction.
Priced at $25, this wine is available for purchase on Irvine’s Winery’s website. However, a minimum purchase of two bottles is required.
According to the Pizza Hut, when chilled, it delivers a flavor profile reminiscent of a crisp white wine, with subtle hints of the savory, tangy essence of pizza. It’s like sipping on nostalgia, bringing back memories of Friday night pizza parties and carefree childhood days.
The wine offers an aromatic blend of fresh herbs and spices with rich, sun-ripened tomato notes and a subtle hint of toasted oak – reminiscent of a perfectly baked pizza crust.
The idea of crafting wine from tomatoes might sound unconventional, but it’s a testament to the endless possibilities in the world of food and drink.
On the winery’s website you can also purchase the Tomato Wine Gift Box for $60. It includes Pizza Hut-branded wine glasses and a wine opener in a gift box that looks just like a pizza box.
Needless to say this Tomato Pizza Wine is a conversation starter, a unique gift for fellow pizza lovers, and a fun addition to any gathering. Plus, it pairs perfectly with—you guessed it—pizza!
