Tuesday is Election Day and several businesses are encouraging people to get out there and vote by offering freebies and discounts.
Locally, KAT (Knoxville Area Transit) will be providing free rides all day while running their normal route schedule.
Both Uber & Lyft will also be offering discounted rides to the polls.
Uber
Click the ‘Go Vote!’ button on the home screen and you’ll be able to find your polling place and get 50% off your ride (up to $10)
If you’re too busy to cook because you’re watching the results, Uber Eats is giving 25% off orders.
Lyft
Get 50% off (up to $10) your ride using the promo code VOTE24. The code is valid from 5a-10p on rideshares, bikeshares, and scooter rides.
Voting can stir up a lot of emotions, including an appetite. Various food places will be offering some type of deal or free food.
Krispy Kreme
Everyone who goes in store or the drive-thru gets a free Original Glazed Doughnut along with a “I Voted!” sticker. Proof of voting is not required to get a doughnut.
