When you walk down Broadway in Nashville you’ll see a slew of bars that are owned by country stars — from Miranda Lambert to Luke Bryan, and most recently, Morgan Wallen. Jelly Roll will now have his own bar in Music City, however, unlike all the other stars, he’ll be the first one that’s ACTUALLY from Nashville.

Jelly Roll spilled the news on Joe Rogan’s podcast on October 11th (the same day of his new album release) saying it’ll be named Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville. He told Rogan it’s “a big deal” because

I’m the first Nashville native to get a bar, so like the first kid from the city to get a bar.

Jelly, whose real name is Jason DeFord, grew up in Antioch, a neighborhood in South Nashville.

No word on when the new bar will open or where exactly it’ll be located, but Jelly Roll did mention that the venue will honor his late father, with a back bar named “Buddy.”

You can watch Jelly Roll’s interview on the Joe Rogan Experience below.
