Not all convenience stores are built the same. Some have better quality of food and bathrooms, while others you vow to never visit again.
In a new study the Philadelphia-based convenience store, Wawa, was voted as the best convenience store in the U.S. The store was given a score of 82/100 by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI®) Convenience Store Study 2024.
QuikTrip was voted as the 2nd best (81/100) while Buc-ee’s came in third (80/100), tied with Murphy USA.
All three convenience stores were voted high due to their food options.
Hoagies are a big draw for Wawa customers, while QuikTrip looks to install QT Kitchens® across the chain. Buc-ee’s has a reputation for a wide variety of on-the-go food options…
Wawa is a staple on the East Coast but plan on opening three locations in Middle TN in 2025.
Casey’s, which you’ll find all over East TN, received a satisfaction store of 79 out of 100 and is actually “America’s fifth largest pizza purveyor by kitchen numbers.”
In the South though, Buc-ee’s stands #1 in people’s hearts with customer satisfaction.

The study found that nowadays, convenience stores are much more than just a quick stop for snacks and gas, but becoming serious competitors in the food industry.
