In 2017, Billy McFarland promised a once-in-a-lifetime music festival in the Bahamas. People dished out thousands of dollars to live lavishly for a weekend in private villas and see their favorite artists perform. Unfortunately, Billy made a bunch of promises he couldn’t keep. People were left staying in disaster relief tents with a mattress, and cheese sandwiches in a foam to-go box. Fyre Fest turned into an absolute sh** show. Billy was hit with numerous lawsuits and even went to prison for defrauding investors.

Well, Billy seems pretty confident that he can pull it off the second time around and even announced that Fyre Fest II will be held in April 2025 on a private island in Mexico. In an interview with NBC News, he says he’s doing things differently because he’s hired a professional company to handle the logistics and instead of 10,000 people he’s hoping for a more intimate 3,000 guests.

Ticket prices will range from $1,400 on the low end to $1.1 million for the most expensive festival package (which he said would include luxury yachts, scuba diving and island hopping).

So far, no musical acts have been booked.

He was released from prison in 2022 after serving four years. He told NBC that he’s been paying the victims back and 10% of the money made from the festival will go back towards paying the people he still owes.

And yes, there will be cheese sandwiches, which Billy says will be the most expensive food item on the menu.
