Halsey released her music video for “Lucky,” on 7/26, a take on Britney’s single from back in 2000. The video has visual similarities and samples the OG song. SO naturally, Halsey got permission before doing this, stating “I wouldn’t even dream of doing this without her blessing!”
However, after the video came out Britney shared that she was upset by Halsey’s video and feels “harassed, violated and bullied”. She feels Halsey illustrated her in an “ignorant way” by “tailoring me as a superficial pop star with no heart or concern at all.” She also says because of this she will be reactivating her IG to show that she cares and speaking to her lawyers to see what can be done on this matter….
Look, Halsey got permission…. I don’t see a problem here. What do you think?
